Thank you for entrusting us with your child at Thirst Youth Cafe
It is a real joy to see them thrive and connect with their peers. Thirst is more than just a place to hang out - it is a safe and welcoming space where young people can build friendships, develop new skills, and feel a strong sense of community. All supported by trained youth workers and volunteers who are passionate about helping young people feel like they matter.
Our drop in sessions are for young people of secondary age - Please see our opening hours. We do allow year six age young people to use the cafe in the last half of the summer term, this aims help them know we are there for them when they start attending secondary school.
We ask that all young people sign up with us, so we can monitor our numbers and also have a contact for a parent or guardian. You can sign your child up here
Over the past decade Thirst has seen so many young people grow and flourish - in fact many of our volunteers are older students who help out regularly, with number of young people adding us to their first CV as a reference!
We have a wonderful space in the heart of town and provide plenty of entertainment to keep the young people occupied and we also run occasional creative workshops to encourage and help them reach there full potential. We run well-being sessions in partnership with the NHS and mentoring support in many of the local secondary schools. These is a growing projects with a huge benefit to those young people who need a little extra support.
We are a small charity and need the support of the community in order to keep providing this service. We would love to invite you to partner with us in nurturing the next generation. Every contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and will have a lasting impact on our young people
